Monica Young

I am delighted to lead this fantastic team in Dundee and Angus alongside my part-time job as taxi driver to my two teenage boys during evenings and weekends! When I can escape you will find me roaming somewhere around the hills and lochs with my husband and my (very big!) dog.My background is largely in business but I have spent the last 7 years working closely with schools to develop long-term industry partnerships. I never tire of exploring new and innovative ways to enable that exchange of knowledge and experience to take place and seeing young people’s confidence in their own futures grow as a result.Whether you are a school, further or higher education provider, or a business – I’m happy to support you with Developing the Young Workforce in any way I can.

Lynn Cunningham

Employer Liaison Advisor

Hello, I’m Lynn, one of the Employer Liaison Advisors, and it’s my job to find and support employers to engage with schools across Dundee & Angus. We ask employers to support DYW through offering meaningful work-related activities to pupils; this can be anything from a careers session to devising a curriculum relevant class project. Many of the activities being delivered virtually, and I help make these happen. When I’m not working with DYW I love being out on the River Tay - whether that’s through Taymara (a local maritime charity) or coastal rowing. Originally from N Ireland, I’ve lived in Dundee for almost 30 years and currently share my home with my man, our daughter and twa dugs!

Rachel Jackson

Digital Administrator

I joined the DYW D&A team as Digital Administrator at the beginning of April 2021. My background is in communications and community work and I am enthusiastic about promoting opportunities which can improve young people’s futures and wellbeing. I bring my experience of digital administration and marketing to the team and find creative ways of ensuring all our young people across Dundee and Angus know about the opportunities available. When not creating designs on Canva, video editing, perfecting MailChimp newsletters or scheduling social media content, you will find me lost in a book or listening to the latest bands with my cat. I also love to keep fit by playing badminton, running, and going for walks.

Marthe Hastie

Employer Liaison Advisor

Hi my name is Marthe and I have been an Employer Liaison Advisor with DYW since late 2019. Since joining the team the way the world works has changed drastically but our goal remains as important as ever – working with the college, schools and employers to help prepare young people for the world of work! I’ve just returned from maternity leave so becoming a new mum has occupied much (if not all) of my free time! I’m looking forward to spending some time reconnecting with folk and working on some new and exciting projects. Please get in touch if you fancy a chat.
