The Princes Trust Team Programme is a 12-week course facilitated by staff seconded from Police Scotland. This is undertaken by young people who have struggled to find a job, or have faced barriers to entering the world of work. We were delighted to be asked to help Team 6 build their confidence and skills so they are better placed to get a job in the sector of their choice.

How was the partnership formed? This partnership was formed as a result of proactive working by both Robertson Construction Tayside and Dundee and Angus College. The staff within the college understand how important it is to partner with employers where possible to ensure cohesive working and to ensure all working practice standards are met. This also gives the students the best opportunity when leaving education and entering the work place.

How was the partnership formed and how did the project come about? Struan Toyota, a car dealership based in Dundee, contacted DYW about wanting to work with young people. The offer was circulated to local schools and St Paul’s RC Academy was one of the schools who jumped at the opportunity.
